LRC, the Leshan Radio Company, was founded in 1970. Its headquarters are in the homonymous city Leshan.

Since the establishment the Leshan Radio consequently focused on the production of active components. Among these, the broad high-quality product range of diodes and transisitors deserves a special mention.

In the past the Leshan Radio Company has undergone a breathtaking development. The company changed from a single company to a multinational company and is nowadays a real global player. This resulted in the fact that LRC is the largest manufacturer for discrete semiconductors throughout China.

As evidence serve the establishment of several new plants and not less than four Joint Ventures, all with internationally known partners.

The most famous Joint Venture is surely the one together with Motorola and On Semiconductors. This Joint Venture acts under the name Leshan-Phoenix Semiconductor Company, holds a capital expenditure of more then half a billion US Dollars and produces more than 20 billions diodes and transistors. For Motorola, the Joint Venture together with LRC was the first one in China!

Another highlight is the registration among the 100 best electronics and information companies by the national Chinese information industry ministry.

The Leshan Radio Company has obtained an ISO 9000 certificate for its exemplary quality management system, too. This shows that LRC products will always meet the sophisticated customer demands. Furthermore the Leshan-Phoenix Semiconductor Company obtained an ISO 14000 certificate and the "Certificate of Green Partner" from Sony for its environment management system.
